Who am I?
I am a married mum of 2. I am originally from the UK and now live in Germany. I actually met my now husband, who is German, in New Zealand. But that is a whole other story.
I started researching ADHD while my husband and I considered an ADHD diagnosis for our son. I found the whole subject of ADHD a fascinating and terribly misunderstood topic. It was actually my husband that encouraged me to pursue a diagnosis for myself. It took me a while to see it. The more I learned, the more I saw, so many of the questions I had carried with me for my entire life were answered, and I began to understand myself. I am glad my husband encouraged me, I found my ADHD diagnosis immensely validating.
Why am I a coach?
Ever since my ADHD diagnosis, I have worked hard to learn as much as I can about ADHD and how I can help myself, improve my life and feel more successful.
Transferring the advice and knowledge that I was learning into my everyday life was hard work. What I really needed was a coach. Someone to help me make sense of it all and stop me from becoming overwhelmed.
So, long story short, I decided to become that coach for others. An ADHD coach. Or a coach who is an expert in ADHD.
What Makes Me A Coach?
I have a background in education and training with over 10 years of experience. I am an ADHD expert, with over 6 years spent researching and learning about ADHD from every source available to me. I’ve also received many hours of training on ADHD-specific themes, problems, solutions, and tools.
I have completed coach training with the ADHD Coach Academy - a school for ADHD coaches, run by ADHD experts and master coaches with over 20 years of experience in coaching and training coaches.
How Can Coaching Help?
ADHD coaching aims to give you a better understanding of yourself and how you function best. We’ll work together to explore your strengths and identify your weaknesses. You’ll learn more about how your brain works and how you’re not alone. You are not the only or the first person to struggle with ADHD but there are solutions. Our brains work differently so our solutions look different too. Together we’ll find ones that work.
In a neurotypical world where you can be anything, be you. Be your whole self and enjoy being you. Enjoy your strengths, your talents, and follow your passion and your energy so that you are living the life you want.
Coaching is a forward-focused, positive intervention. It is not intended as a substitute for therapy or medical treatment.
